so...today was fantastic. i started out a bit grumpy--but, hey, who didn't??? i mean, we lost an hour, for cryin' out loud!!! which means, when i went to bed at 1 a.m., i had to regretfully reset my clock to 2 a.m. and then i got up at 11:30, only nine and a half hours after going to bed!!!suffice to say, i was bitter. however, after finishing my chores and taking a shower, i finally woke myself up--while listening to the 2nd most wonderful broadway cd of all time, Les Miz. (the best, of course, would have to be Phantom--duh!!!) for those of you who have never heard the beauty known as Phantom of the Opera--well, just know that you are pitied. seriously. but if you do choose to listen to the cd, you must listen to the original broadway cast, which is obviously the only one with a truly talented actor playing Erik (the Phantom). among my other broadway favorites is Jekyll and Hyde, whose brilliance is debatable among the world of theater. still, Andrew Lloyd Webber (composer for Phantom) is brilliant--far more so than the composers for Les Miz and Jekyll & Hyde. most def. aw, just listen to the cd. then you will understand.
well, one of my good friends recently went to see switchfoot in concert--two nights in a row--for which i am very jealous of her. and always will be. anyway, i am absolutely in love with that band, to say the least. and i think that you shold all go buy their cd's. now. well, what are you waiting for?!?!? right. sorry about that. i'm over it. but they are awesome. vraiment.
man, what a rabbit trail. anywho, back to how fantabulous my day was. i got to go to el chico, which was awesome. i love that place. and then i had church, which was of course also awesome. no really, i did learn some good stuff. of course, i learn good stuff every week. i mean, how can you open up God's Word and not learn anything?? there is something new to learn every time, no matter how many times you've read the passage. God is amazing. as I was driving home (after going to starbucks with my awesome friend maria!!) i looked up at the moon and just started laughing, it was so beautiful. of course the sky never fails to give me joy. but it was amazing, just looking at it through the clouds, when you couldn't see a single star, but you could still see the moon. i dunno, you prabably all think i'm crazy, but when i'm so incredibly joyful at the sight of something, i don't exactly have words to describe it. i just end up laughing, like i did tonight. so, in conclusion: i did laugh today, and i do not feel like the ultimate suck (don't ask). oh hey, and while i'm recommending music and stuff like that, i think you should all read Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game"--and if you like it you should read all the books following it such as "Speaker for the Dead," "Xenocide." "Children of the Mind"--you get the idea. greatness. at least, if you're into sci-fi it is. later, guys!!
love kaylah
